Lucca is a retired US Marine Corps dog who was awarded the PDSA Dickin Medal, which is the animal equivalent of the Victoria Cross. It is one of the highest honors a dog can receive. Lucca completed over 400 missions during her service, and she saved thousands of lives through her search and rescue efforts.
Lucca and her handler were walking in front of troops to protect them when she stepped on an IED. It was her final patrol, and she lost her front leg. Her handler never left her side through the surgery and recovery. Now, she is retired and was adopted by Sergeant Chris Willingham, who she served with in Afghanistan.

Aladdin Used The Love People Gave Him To Help Others
In 2013, Aladdin was found with 12 missing teeth, broken legs and a broken tail, and plenty of open wounds. He was horribly abused and needed help. He was rescued and went through a painful recovery, but Aladdin's tail never stopped wagging. Within a year of recovery, Aladdin was a certified therapy dog.
Aladdin became the Ronald McDonald House Ambassador dog. He goes to schools to help with anti-bullying programs and helped people after the Pulse Night Club shooting in Orlando. Aladdin has helped with countless organizations, and he has touched many people's lives with his positive attitude.
Angel Saved A Boy From A Cougar Attack And Survived
Angel's name is perfect because she is like an angel sent from above. Her family will forever be grateful to her because of the heroic acts she performed. Angel's human brother was 11 when a cougar started charging at him. Angel saw this and stepped in front of the cougar fighting it off.
Although she lost some fur and needed surgery for her injuries, Angel survived and saved the boy. She is the bravest dog, and her heroic act is another reminder of how amazing dogs are. Their unconditional love and emotional support are more than we can ever ask for.
