Snake Safety Made Simple
It turns out there's a big difference between a venomous and a poisonous snake, so this meme explains that difference in a way that simply makes sense. However, we don't recommend biting any kind of creature you find in the wild, but if that does happen, at least you'll know what to expect- all thanks to this meme. The same thing goes for getting bit as opposed to being the one biting.
Trying to figure out whether or not a snake might be venous isn't always an easy thing to do; thankfully, this meme just happens to exist, so struggle no more.
Pop Culture in Medical Terms
The chances of this sign existing in a doctor's office or science lab are definitely high- for obvious reasons. The people here must have gotten bored with all the technical work happening on a daily basis, so they applied their humor in the only way they knew best. Medical or Science personnel might not be known for their hysterical jokes, but whoever created this really did quite a fine job with this one.
Some people think that scientists and doctors don't have a great sense of humor; this meme might help you prove those people wrong- if you find this funny, of course.
A Physicist With a Sense of Humor
Roger Freedman could be hailed a modern-day science superhero since he passionately came to the rescue here, all in the name of Physics. Not only that, but he managed to optimistically crack a joke or two while responding to a dissapointing post about his very own book. Regardless, we're pretty sure that the tears the first poster cried were, in fact, not tears of joy or anything close to it, and we really do understand why.
If you've taken Biology or Physics in school, then either one of those textbooks has undoubtedly made you cry at some point. So, you'll have no issue with relating to this post.
An Apple That Proved a Good Point
This might be the first time in social media history that fruit has proved a pretty good point in a very opinionated conversation. They started by posting a laundry list of what looked to be very dangerous chemicals, but it turned out that was simply the general chemical composition of an average apple. We would really love to know what the final response was from the other side regarding that posted victory comment.
Most internet debates can be hard to win, but this guy understood his competitor pretty well and seems to have done a really good job at generally proving his point.
A New Shape of Pure Fear
Science makes all kinds of discoveries daily, but this one might scare any current students since it's certainly a confusing one. Somehow, a new shape called a scutoid has been recently discovered, and the more we look at it, the harder it is to understand. It seems to have an infinite number of sides, so it might be best to stick to the familiar shapes when it comes to making any calculations inside a classroom.
If you're still in school, we're going to hope that your math teacher doesn't find out about this brand-new shape because calculating this surface area could take a few years.
Australia's Delicious Mystery Fish
We're not sure how an entire country could accidentally eat a fish, and if you can figure it out, feel free to let us know. This fish doesn't seem too tasty by the looks of it, but if millions of people have unknowingly been enjoying it, this thing truly must be delicious. Science admits that they're not sure about the origins of this fish, or anything else about it for that matter- a real-life marine mystery.
Australia is known for its enormously sized creatures that live both on land and in the sea, and clearly, there's a ton of mystery behind almost all of the wildlife.
One Way to Understand Time Travel
Whoever made this post online was thinking very deeply about time travel, and this specific thought really does make a lot of sense. Suppose anyone did manage to miraculously time travel thirty years into the far future. In that case, you'd technically have to be missing for thirty years by the time you've found yourself. Mostly because you've been busy defying the boundaries of both space and time for quite a while there.
If you travel into the future only to find out you have been missing for thirty years- at least that would confirm that whatever you just did ended up working.
Advanced Math at Its Finest
If Algebra isn't your thing, then forget school because you might want to stick to humor-based memes for learning after seeing this. We all know the classic joke behind the number six being afraid of its neighbor, number 7, but who knew it could level up and turn out this good? We certainly didn't, but you might want to send this to your math teacher just to add some fun to your next confusing math lesson.
Okay, It's pretty clear that this math isn't actually advanced, but we sure do wish that all math, in general, could make as much sense as this specific one did.
The Only Water That Can Break in Class
Chemistry can be pretty dull, depending on the topic, but we'd love to be lab partners with whoever posted this genius meme. It looks like they were building water molecules when someone took a comedic turn on something that naturally happens in real life. It was so great that we're assuming this ended up going viral on the internet, where all Science enthusiasts continued with the puns throughout the entirety of the comment section.
One thing everyone knows about water is that it's a liquid, so it can't really break- unless it's a super-sized physical construction of a microscopic molecule that fell on the floor.
A Team Project That Didn't Work Out
According to the wonders of the internet, this image is both a blessing and a curse. Also, somewhere, somehow, a teacher and a science fair both approved of this topic. Needless to say, the student is standing very confidently in front of her display. Meaning, she likely put a ton of hours into analyzing entirely hypothetical cases of people jumping off buildings, just to come to some kind of scientific conclusion.
We think it's safe to say that any height is too high in terms of jumping off buildings, and we'd also like to know how and why this topic was chosen.
How to Put the Universe Into Perspective
According to this model, a million earths can fit inside the sun; according to detko2, the number is closer to at least twelve. From down here on the ground, the sun does look pretty small, so it's easy to dispute the fact that it might be a million times bigger than the planet we're living on. What's even more incomprehensible is that some planets and stars are even more giant than our tiny-looking sun.
It's sometimes hard to view the universe from different angles when you're literally a microscopic dot living in the middle of it, but this specific example actually helped with that.
The Truth Behind Plankton's Meals
Plankton is a big fan of his holographic meatloaf, and why he can only eat a still image of food makes a ton of sense if you've ever questioned why. We've all enjoyed watching him blow on his fork of invisible food, but most kids haven't wondered why his food is digital. It's actually because planktons in real life absorb food through energy, so Plankton's character was basically doing the same thing this entire time.
Have you ever wondered why Plankton ate holographic meals? Chances are, you never did. That's because most of us have spent time laughing about Plankton's meals instead of questioning them.
A Great Way to Offend a Planet
Jupiter might be slightly offended if the planet ever got a hold of this meme, but somehow, the universe makes marginally more sense after seeing it. Apparently, Jupiter has a ton of moons, and scientists just keep on discovering more as time goes by. Thankfully, Earth only has one, and the chances of our planet choosing to take on any more are slim to none- that would definitely be way too much work.
One thing is sure- Jupiter really is busy with all of those moons. Thankfully, Earth doesn't have to handle that much responsibility since it only has one to look after.
Why Physics and Politics Don't Blend
If you could understand anything substantial from this meme, it would be that Physics generally has a pretty strong opinion about the validity of politics as a science. So much so that it made its way into this textbook as an equation for the world to see. Unfortunately, we can't see how this equation ends, but we don't really need to since the point of it is well-understood from the start.
This Physics textbook had no shame as it threw some shade at Political Science majors, but that's okay because they probably wouldn't be reading this book in the first place.
Real Life, Uncomfortably Explained
Sometimes Science belongs on the internet; other times, that same internet finding will give you nightmares for a whole week- this post is certainly one of them. That was definitely the intention of this in the first place, yet we're ashamed to say that this point might be fearfully valid. Although we're not scientists, and you probably aren't either, so it's safe to say that we all have a general appreciation for meat armor.
The general explanations behind many things in life are uncomfortable, but this one just goes above and beyond that- yet somehow makes so much sense at the same exact time.
Why Staying up Late Is Acceptable
Someone used Physics to explain why waking up early is so hard, and although it may not be true, you might be feeling like it is. This post was entirely written confidently and somehow seems pretty accurate, just because of the science reference. Although Newton's law of motion applies to many things in life, your science teacher may not use it to support you in staying up as late as possible.
There's nothing harder than waking up early, but staying up late is a breeze. It looks like Physics has just given you an excuse to sleep as late as you want.
Sharks Are Much Nicer in Person
Lots of people are very afraid of sharks, and that fear typically comes from certain movies that depict them as monstrous animals. In real life, they much enjoy minding their own business and don't actually eat people for fun. Most of the time, the encounter is accidental, and they typically enjoy eating food that comes from the sea. This meme just happily proved the general innocence of an entire species.
On the big screen, sharks seem to be ruthless creatures that love to eat humans for lunch, but in reality, they much prefer avoiding people since they aren't too tasty.
Tesla Was a Genius and a Trickster
We think it's safe to say that Nikola Tesla was the class genius but also the class clown. According to this meme, he tricked an entire crowd of people and did a great job. Tesla is notorious for many things, but his jokes aren't necessarily one of them- until now. Although this might not have been something you learned in science class, the internet truly does a pretty good job of hysterically educating.
Schools always include Tesla and his amazing inventions throughout their lessons, but we can guarantee that there hasn't been a single teacher who taught you about how funny he was.
Fungi Deserve Some More Attention
Science teachers are pretty passionate about a variety of subjects, but fungi aren't always one of them for a reason we can't figure out. Believe it or not, they're actually an essential part of how the world functions and they're so advanced that they can even communicate with each other. This meme is just letting everyone know that fungi deserve a little bit more attention than they're currently getting- just because they're awesome.
Plants and animals are definitely great, but fungi are acting as the neural network of our planet and pretty much get no credit for all the hard work that they do.
Algae, the Silent Super Hero
Algae just might be saving the world without us even realizing it. According to this meme, they make more oxygen than trees, and if this is true, then memes might surpass any science teacher we've ever had. Trees are undoubtedly great in their own way and definitely deserve the attention that they get. Although algae should probably be just as admired since it basically does double the amount of work.
Algaes actually do a lot more than just sit around in a mucky-looking pond, and surprisingly, it provides oxygen to both land creatures and those that live in the water.
The Scientific Kind of Relative Dating
Some subjects in class are sensitive topics, but this teacher made sure his students knew that this one isn't. Science class is, of course, always going to be scientific, and that includes this lecture about relative dating. Thankfully, it involves discussions about things like fossils and practically nothing else. He really did want to let his humor shine for a minute before getting into a long and complicated lesson for the day.
This teacher just wanted to make it clear that he is, in fact, about to lecture about a scientific kind of relative dating that has nothing to do with family.
A Fish That Sounds Like an Insult
The name of this fish might eventually become a modern-day curse word if and when this post goes viral because it's just that funny. The reason the species got this name is probably because of its super strange and scary-looking features, and truthfully, we'd be just fine knowing nothing about it. Although its name can definitely cause a laugh or two, the longer you look at it- the scarier it gets.
Whoever chose to name this fish surely wasn't too fond of it but we can see why. Mostly because they basically chose the worst possible one for the strange-looking creature.
A Young Genius With Confidence
The eleven-year-old sitting in this organic chemistry class was smart enough to be there and even offered to help his fellow students by referring them to his email. A fellow classmate was so impressed that she had to take a picture of the moment to share with the entire internet. Of course, the rest of the online world was impressed too, and might even send him an email if a hard science question arises.
This young student has more confidence than the older kids in his science class, to the point where he's not afraid to admit that he probably knows more than them.
When Biology Is Something to Laugh About
It would be hard to keep your composure in class if your teacher started reading this exact except about a bongfish. Most of the words that make up this paragraph make zero sense, which basically gives everyone permission to laugh about it. Not only is this fish creepy, but it also has body parts that sound like they might have come from another planet that is nowhere close to this one.
In the deep and dark depths of the ocean, there are some interesting creatures that are peacefully living their best lives. The Bongfish is definitely one of those interesting creatures.
A Profession Where the Pandemic Doesn't Apply
When the government ordered everyone to work from home, most of us were relieved and relatively excited to work in our pajamas. Although this was great for almost every office job, things probably got complicated for people in hands-on professions. For example, Marine biologists who really do spend most of their time focusing on Marine life would definitely fall under that category. According to this meme, they spent a lot of time in the bath.
During the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, almost everyone was working from home, but not a single person ever thought about what Marine Biologists were doing at that same time.
Dry Comedy in the World of Geology
This Geology joke might not be as hot as lava or magma combined, but it could be as good as it gets in terms of science and comedy. We've certainly never heard of a magma lamp, but lava lamps have been popular for quite some time now. Somehow, this meme makes sense- and if you've ever been confused about the differences between magma and lava, you now have a firm understanding.
Some would say there isn't much comedy in the world of Geology, but this meme would beg to differ—although this joke is certainly as dry as dirt, if not more.
Where Couple Goals and Science Are One
Don't know anything about thermodynamic equilibrium? Thankfully, you do now. Someone on the internet managed to take an actual phenomenon while simultaneously applying it to a complicated scientific term for everyone's benefit. It turns out that this representation of a relationship is pretty accurate, where one partner is a furnace while the other is an ice box. Together, that just equals couple goals, or maybe that would be life goals in general.
What's funny about this is that it's pretty applicable in real life, where many couples can admit to the fact that one of them tends to have chronically cold hands.
A Nervous System With Anxiety
There are many things we could say about this nervous-specific system, and that would primarily be that it looks like it has a name and a job. It seems pretty stressed out, which makes sense since it is entirely made of nerves. From a scientific aspect, seeing how connected the eyes are to this general system is super surprising. This truly is the spitting image of anxiety laid out on a table for the internet to see.
After looking at this picture, we now understand how the nervous system got its name. Mainly because this one really looks like he's struggling with a significant amount of anxiety.
Bill Nye the Non-Science Guy
While Bill Nye is famously known as the "Science Guy," Dolph Lundgren surprisingly holds a master's degree in science and is actually well-known in the field. His science background potentially stands out much more than Nye's, who was likely a part of your childhood Science class at some point. Although he's an actor, Lundgren seems to be a lot more qualified than Nye and certainly has a much deeper scientific understanding than most people think.
Surprisingly, Dolph Lundgren holds a few more degrees in the field of science than Bill Nye, famously known to be a science educator and even an actor in a science show.
Why Bees Are Smarter Than We Think
Usually, beehives are fitted with specially built frames, but this beekeeper forgot to put one of those onto his hive. The result of this mistake was actually something spectacular. They made their honeycomb, as they usually do, but it ended up being in the shape of the airflow that shifts through the honeycomb. They did this to make sure that air could still pass through the entire hive in an efficient way.
These bees were so clever that they managed to analyze the airflow of the enclosure they were staying in to make a hive that was shaped for their maximum comfort.
This Defensive System Didn't Work Out
While some people absolutely love eating many types of spicy foods, others do their best to stay away from the heat- which is actually the whole point. The physical reaction we get from eating pepperally is their way of defending themselves, which they eventually obtained by evolving for lots of years. They did their very best to avoid getting eaten, but unfortunately, the effort fell through- since there are many spice-loving mammals in our world.
The spice that comes from peppers is actually a defense mechanism that was developed after they decided they didn't want to get eaten by other creatures, which is totally valid.
This Might Be the World's Cutest Fish
The tiny fish in this picture is called a Boops Boops, and believe it or not, that's really its scientific name. What makes these fish even more extraordinary is how cute they are, and they're even famously known for being super curious. This species could be the James Bond of the sea since their name is pretty close to Bond's, so we feel they would get along quite well if the encounter ever occurred.
This small species of fish would certainly introduce itself to James Bond if it had the chance, and that introduction would probably sound just as great as it's written here.
Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in a Nut Shell
Whether it's large ecosystems or microscopic particles, science is science, and most fields relate to each other in different ways. Somehow, we've never learned this in science class, and the internet has probably just taught you something new as well. Since biology, chemistry, and physics all observe and experiment with different theories and topics, you really could argue that these three sciences are precisely the same- but at different zoom settings.
We all know that Biology, Chemistry, and Physics are interconnected with each other. Still, most people have never considered that the only difference is that they view the natural world from different angles.
A Doodle That Belongs in a Textbook
Calculus can be complicated for any student to comprehend, whether it's curved values or functions that change over time- none of it is considered fun. Unless you're a math genius or a general brainiac, chances are- you haven't discovered a visual representation of math that's as good as this one. It made an entire topic way more accessible and understandable for anyone who struggles with it, so you might want to save this for future reference.
Amazingly, this doodle drawing did a really great job of illustrating the general concept of calculus by showing a truly accurate visual representation of a topic that's harder than most.
Every Student's True Inspiration
If a teacher's impressed with your work, they could ask what your main inspiration for the assignment was. What they don't see are the hours of pure procrastination or maybe the fact that you wrote it at the last minute. Thankfully, they don't need to know anything about that part. While you might take the credit for making something great, the urge to say that you only wrote it because you had to is always strong.
There's no denying that every student's main motivation for starting and finishing an essay is the deadline. That's because, while school might be fun, homework will never really be enjoyable.
The Body and All of Its Hard Work
After reading this, you could compare humans to terrible bosses complaining about their very hard-working employees. The good thing about our cells, though, is that they never take a day off, don't complain too much, and always give their very best effort. While we're complaining about a bad hair day or sitting in traffic, our cells don't actually complain too much, outside of randomly catching a common cold or a stomach virus.
One of life's strange paradoxes is that people complain about minor inconveniences while our bodies tirelessly work to do nothing more than function- it's time to show our cells some appreciation.
Stress Levels With a Purpose
Sometime in the near future, students might have enough stress to power an entire household. That's because scientists have recently found a way to transform stress into electricity, and students tend to have a lot more stress than the average person. Finally, stress and anxiety might have a practical purpose, to the point where the two combined could possibly power a laptop. Now, we can't confirm for sure that this is true, but we do hope it is.
There has been nothing magical about stress levels as a srtudent, and most of the time, it has its downside. That just might suddenly change after this brand-new scientific discovery.
That's a Moray, Not Amore
Amore means love in Italian, and that same word happens to rhyme with moray, which is an eel that most people don't love, and we can see why. This creature isn't exactly photogenic, and now that you know what the inside of its mouth looks like, you're probably even more afraid. Although, whoever put this description into the tune of a popular song could be a genius because everything about it fits perfectly, from start to end.
Learning about moray eels in the tune of a song that already exists is interesting. This might not be helpful for us regular people, but marine biologist are loving it.
The Abcs of Emergency Medicine
This looks to be an excerpt from a medical book attached to a very relevant meme that makes things ten times better. The thought of a broken bone is pretty scary if you're not a doctor, but it happens to almost everyone at least once. It seems like doctors are taught how to react if the break looks bad, which is a good thing, but everyone knows that a bone coming out through the skin is a bad thing.
Thankfully, most professionals won't have to revert back to their abcs when coming across a majorly broken bone because that would take too much precious time in a tense situation.
Food Is Mostly Good for the Soul
Someone, somewhere, told an educated scientist that food couldn't fill the void inside of their heart, yet that science professional quickly proved that point wrong. Food generally is filling for the tummy, but it could also fill up an artery, according to this diagram, which isn't exactly a good thing. So technically, food very well good fills up all and any voids in a heart regardless of the medical effects.
Food is definitely satisfying for the soul, but it might not always be good for the heart, depending on what it is. Which is something that almost all doctors agree with.
School’s Hardest Topic Has Suddenly Become Funny
